GaPP pre-summer workshop held in St Andrews

The pre-summer workshop at the University of St Andrews brought together 30 scholars from across Europe for a full day of engaging presentations and lively academic exchange. Hosted in collaboration with the Stockholm School of Economics, the event fostered new connections and thoughtful discussion across management and education policy tracks.

On June 16, PhD students, postdocs, and faculty from 11 universities gathered at the University of St Andrews for a GaPP workshop. With participants from Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain, the UK, and beyond, the day offered a mix of early-stage paper presentations, constructive feedback, and academic career reflections.

The program featured parallel tracks in management and education/policy, with topics ranging from social mobility and entrepreneurship to school absenteeism and public sector ethics. Discussions were lively and collegial, with participants moving freely between sessions.
