Torsten and Ragnar Söderberg Professor Pär Åhlström has become the 20th person to receive the distinction of honorary fellow at the 2022 annual EurOMA conference.

The venture capital industry is hampered by its own focus on short-term returns, according to the startup incubator of the Stockholm School of Economics. SSE Business Lab is now closing a new 40 million SEK fund backed by Bonnier Ventures and well-known profiles like Anna Nordell-Westling, Sven Hagströmer, Anna Kinberg Batra and Sebastian Knutsson. “Long-term thinking amplifies the potential returns”, says CEO Julia Delin.

Even bigger steps towards the goal of getting more students to form companies are being taken by the Stockholm School of Economics and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The schools are strengthening their joint program and are assisted by the entrepreneurs behind Budbee, Estrid and PocketLaw, as well as investors from Summa Equity and Kinnevik.

New research, led by Dr. Nadav Shir, Affiliated Researcher at the House of Innovation, presents a dynamic perspective on entrepreneurship and well-being anchored in deeper philosophical views on the essence of well-being and entrepreneurship as a value-driven agency.

The House of Innovation, Stockholm School of Economics, a Research House covering the areas of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology, published a report detailing advancements undertaken since its inception in the fall of 2020.

SSE Business Lab is the start-up incubator of the Stockholm School of Economics, open to all current and former students as well as faculty of SSE, who have founded a business. Diversity and sustainability at the top of the Agenda of the SSE Business Lab and since over two years both are requirement for being a part of their incubator program. It’s also two of the core values for the CIVICA network, and the SSE Business Lab contributes to strengthening these values.

The work of the board of directors, in particular the role of the board chair, is currently undergoing considerable changes because of increasing demands from internal and external stakeholders and in light of the challenging times, including companies' responses to crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic. New research suggests that the role of the board chair is of particular interest given its position of leadership.

New research on innovation and entrepreneurship suggests that institutions and policies within the space industry have effectively shrunk the entrepreneurial field there, leaving little room for enterprise.

The House of Innovation currently invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position with a focus on conducting world-class research in close collaboration with industry on how the use of big data may support developing sustainable supply chains. The deadline for applications is April 30 2021, with an ideal starting date of September 1, 2021.
